I've been trying to conceive for about a month and a half now and I still haven't been able to. My friends tell me I should wait until my ovulation stage is that true. Can you get pregnant anytime or does it hae to be at a certain time?

There is only about a 3 day window when you are fertile each month. If you search for ovulation kits or web pages they can help you determine what days those are for you.

FYI: The average couple takes 8 months to conceive because each month you only have about a 25% chance of conceiving even if you hit the right days

You cannot expect to be pregnant if you've only tried for a month! We've been trying for 8 months now and timing it just right. It takes many couples a long time to conceive. I purchased the ovulation watch so I know EXACTLY when I ovulate and even 4 days before. Good luck and be patient!

10-15 days after your period, the average woman ovulates. This is the time when she releases an ova (egg) to get fertilized. If she gets pregnant before then, the sperm would have to travel to the ovaries and fertilize the ovum or ova (eggs) there, resulting in a horrible pregnancy, known as an ecotopic pregnancy. With this result, the cells become many and a blastocyst forms, and it continues to grow 'til it bursts the fallopian tube, which is both dangerous to the baby and the mother. So, this is why you can get easily pregnant when you ovulate.

The best time to get pregnant is in between menstrual cycles. Mark the last day of your period on the calender. Count 14 days from that date. Do not have sex on the 12th or the 13th day. On the 14th day have a ball! My husband and I planned our 2nd child this way and were pregnant the second month trying. Good luck!

Of course it is true. You can't get pregnant if their is no egg to fertilize. If your periods are regular, you should ovulate around two weeks before your next period is due. Also, the egg is viable 24 hours after it is released and sperm can live and still fertilize 72 hours in the womb after it "arrives" So do the math with your cycle. Also, after he ejaculates, put your hips up, tilted on a pillow, cross your legs and hold on to those babies for all it's worth! Have fun!!!!

The best natural way to tell when you are ovulating is that:
your cervical fluid thickens and your body's temperature goes up a few degrees just during the 2-3 days while ovulating...

Good Luck

properly in case you purely began taking the pill you're assume to apply different kinds of birth control for 30 days. So sure you would possibly want to get pregnant also because you have not been taking them mutually known.

Everyone ovulates at a different time. You just have to know the signs of when you are going to ovulate.

If there isn't an egg to be fertilized by sperm, then there isn't a chance of getting pregnant.

If you want to chart your cycles, I suggest the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility & finding a free charting site such as FertilityFriend.com or Babymed.com.

if u really want to get pregnant and ur not sure when ur ovulation is, have sex at least every other day. the egg`s viability is only 24 hrs so make use of the time. dont waste time if u really want to. just have patience and a little sacrifice even if it tires to have it every other day. anyway u will enjoy it right? so goodluck!

I've read it's during the 11th thru 14th days after your 1st day of your monthly cycle.
