I am going to be a freshman next year and naturally, I am quite nervous. I am going from a private elementary school to a public high school so you can obviously see the differences there will be. Granted, a private school can be horrifying also, but a new school where you are the youngest group of kids is pretty frightening. Yes, I will have my friends from this school as well as those from the public middle school, but how do i know if they will still be my friends there? Or will they move on to bigger and better things? I guess what I am trying to ask is what is the best way to handle high school, stay organized, and still have a social life?

Nope..High school isint scary..Let me tell you something..Certain things happen in highschool...You first real crush...love...You start to have actual friends..And one thing that you have to know..Life starts getting better...Friends never stays for ever..until you reach a certain age..18-21..The friends you form at that time will be with you...The earlier ones..well..it depends..they might go somewhere else to study or work..

The best way to have a social life??? Keep in good company...Mingle with everyone..but be a slight bit mysterious...Dont be an open book or predictable..Help out everyone..and dont be too good either...Do something that your teacher dont like..So now you have become a good but sometimes flamable person..Belive me...People come flocking towards this kind of a person...

Happy High School Life..

I think any new experiance is a little bit scary at first. Over time you will adjust and when things get rough, you just have to find ways to deal with it the best you can. If your friends there, arent willing to be your friend once your there, then they were never a friend to begin with and your much better without them. Just try to relax, be yourself and study hard. If you let it, high school can be the best 4 yrs of your life, so have fun. Good Luck =)

ok im a sophmore so i know all to well the fear you know espeacially because i started freashmen year in a new school... lets face it your friends are your friends and eventually you'll grow apart, but i think they'll stick with you remember they'll be scared freashmen too. ok so upper calssme (10,11,12) wont make it the easiest for you, but really they're just all talk, so when someone says dumb freashmen dont even worry about it. ok high school isnt that different from middle school your just more grown up. basically remember theres a life after high school so dont get caught up in all the dumb high school drama ok? and dont be mean to the freashmen when your an upper classmen because youll know how it feels

I'm currently a freshie at high school & i think its awesome.
I attend one of the biggest high schools in America but i find it very interesting & exciting. You'll have fun, &meet lots of people with similar interests.
The key to high school is just staying on top of your homework/projects etc., don't get behind or you'll have a very hard time in the future.
Good luck!

Honestly, there is no "sure fire" way to go through high school. Expect higher grades to make fun of you for being a freshmen, that is common and practiced everywhere, and should not be taken personally. Try to stay connected with your old friends, but don't be afraid to try to make new ones.

Just remember, most all the freshman, from all different schools will be there feeling the same thing. It's like you suddenly go from your school, to many different schools joining together. There are lots new people, girls and boys, trust me, relax it may take a while, but you'll adjust. Many, many, many before you have, and they all made it, just like you will.

High school is not scary. It is just the time in your life where you need to shape up and get good grades. By now you should be trying to become mature and face whatever academic work high school throws at you. And plus just be yourself, and be nice. You will get by.

do no longer problem, that's basically frightening in case you view it as frightening. only stick close on your individuals. i'm in a extreme college in a small city, and that i'm contained in the marching band so I also have a community of friends that i'm able to loaf around with. the superb element to do is to connect a club or something like FFA (destiny farmers of united states of america of america) or band (marching band!!!). you're specific to make friends that are older than you and you'd be uncovered to quite some individuals. Then that's not so nerve-wracking. I went in to extreme college no longer understanding a brilliant sort of people in grades previous to me, and now i'm a sophmore putting out with juniors/seniors as nicely as human beings in my grade and beginners.
