Well, he's not going to be fired anytime soon, although that's notfixed in stone. Jake shows enough flashes of brilliance to keep his job, so I'm thinking he's OK for the rest of the year. Next year? At some point, there has to be the thought of seeing what Jay Cutler can do under live, meaningful game conditions. He'll probably get the chance to win the starting job from Plummer in camp next year, and even if Jake enters the season as the starter, Mike Shanahan is going to be more apt to yank Plummer next year. If Plummer throws in many performances like some of the lousy ones he's had this year, you definitely see Cutler starting then.

I hope not. If Shanahan makes the switch now hes not as great a coach that I thought he was.......The last two games they lost were not Plummers fault.....The defense is not the same defense that they were four weeks ago. Plus I still don't understand the play-calling against the Chargers. To not roll-out him even once in a game its pathetic. He is the best in the business at throwing on the run and I'd take him over Tom Brady any day because when a play breaks down more often than not he can turn it into something. I really don't like QBs that just sit in the pocket and throw. But Plummer he is a winner. He has a career .745 winning percentage. You put him in and more often than not he will win for you.

depends on how he plays for the rest of the season i mean if he plays horribly he won't be fired he will just most likely be benched. every team needs an experienced of somewhat experience second string backup qb

no Jake will not be fired....will he be the starter next season not likely ...will he be replaced this season more than likely...saying that if he is benched he will leave Broncos for another team before next season for he only wants the starting role.
