I have about one a week when I can't be bothered to cook. Tonight I had Haddock Mornay with spring greens (posh cabbage) and potato and swede mash. From M&S - delicious, way better than I could have cooked myself.

Do you eat them? What's your fave?

Jonathan - I'm actually a very good cook, and do so 6 days a week. As a working Mum, I feel I deserve at least one evening off.

Slutt - well, I expect you're just an all round perfect person.

Slutt - so how is this a discussion about wat we put in our kids? I don't even mention my son, who would not eat a ready meal if I paid him. Classic case of a none-too-bright individual not actually bothering to read the question?

also a working mother but I'd never put that rubbish in my mouth or my kids mouth! Just as easy to cook!

Nope, my ironing remains undone and I dont wash my bedclothes as often as my mother did!

I feel passionate about the idea of what we put into our kids. A ready meal by MandS is still packed with salt and preservatives. Or poison as I prefer to call it!

Matthew, previously you've been inquiring for options of issues to finish that would I advise starting up to practice dinner your human being foodstuff. those does no longer workout consultation extra severe priced in case you do this in bulk. It doesn't should be bulk finished foodstuff yet purely the beef section (which does no longer should be an severe priced joint both). Cooking meat takes longer than different issues so if that's waiting and packed in a unmarried meal parts and frozen you purely might want to practice the vegetables commonly. i do not even do this each day yet practice dinner double the volume of vegetable on commerce days and performance a similar 2 days in a row eliminating a %. of frozen meat to bypass with those vegetables. in case you planned your day so that you needed to be abode at an approximate time to practice and practice dinner vegetables your day would have extra purpose and also you'd be ingesting extra healthily and (i'm sensible) extra cost effectively. the purely negative issues about getting waiting our personal foodstuff as against having a frozen meal i.m.o. is that there's a touch washing as a lot as do when we've eaten while we purely throw away those freezer cartons. wish this isn't pronounced as chat because I used someone's call. i'm attempting to be powerful and to 'kill 2 birds with one stone' right here. If this vanishes quickly you'll comprehend that it became.

I love cooking but just don't get time to cook all the time and probably have a ready meal every few days, saying that though if you get the right range (I personally like Tesco finest) they're really good.
My favourite is traditional lasagne and I just add some ready made salad to it-quick and easy.

Congratulations on being able to cook. I suspect the majority of us males would have difficulty in boiling a three minute egg!
All the food I and most males consume are 'ready meals' because although I am not chauvinistic, women are usually the most organised in all domestic chores. I do wish I was more proficient with household duties but in honesty I am not. Credit where it is due and as it is said - " A woman's work is never done! " My good lady does occasionally buy the odd ready meal but her cooking is far superior.

I too love to cook, but i am very busy, so on Saturday or Sunday I cook enough for the whole week and then I place the food into individual freezer safe storage container with the meal date and time on it. example lunch 11/25

Probably I eat frozen, processed or takeout food twice a week. Maybe. It depends on how many dishes are in the sink and what's in the fridge to work with. I cook all day, sometimes you just don't want to! Nothing wrong with that.

I think that sounds delicious!
We don't eat many ready meals at all...we have 2 kids but I love to cook and our 2 year old loves to help me....I make a lot of soups and we store them in the freezer....hence the alias. I hope my husband likes soup...never thought to ask him?! LOL

once a day usually. i eat Amy's organic food though. not too much sodium and no hydrogenated fats of any kind. they have cheese in them, but no meat, which is good for me because i don't like the idea of eating reconstituted meat. i'm in the States, so people other places might not be able to find them. Reader's Digest listed Amy's in their 100 best something-or-other list.

The only one I have, because I think most are additive filled krap, is Sainsbury's fresh tortalinni with spinich and pesto. Yummy! I have to say though, I am sure the MandS ones are full of good ingredients and not like the usual bargain basement affiars!
