When should I put the turkey(22 lbs) in?its 7 am and we want to eat at 1.unstuffed?

Breast down or up? should I put an apple in it to keep it moist? and isolive oil best or butter for it?

Breast side up and NOW, 5 1/2 hours with time to rest makes it12:45 GO GO GO Butter. Oven 450 first 30 min 325 the rest

10-18 #, unstuffed 3-3 1/2 hours,
18-22#, unstuffed 3 1/2- 4 hours,
22-24#, unstuffed 4 -4 1/2 hours,
24-30#, unstuffed 4 1/2 - 5 hours

I use a combination of olive oil and butter and lemon. Our turkey was about the same size and it took 4.5 hours. So you're pretty much right on track if you put it in now.
