I would like lots of people to try this and acually COUNT the number of licks it really does take.

I did once upon a time in junior high. Attacking at one continuous side, it took about 315 licks before I hit chocolate.
...didn't have much of a life then...

according to that damn owl only three. Personally my teeth were never strong enough to bite down after three and get to the center. Tried to actuall lick my way down once got lost about 1200 and fell asleep.

To be honest I did it once with a few friends ... i lost count at 400, we had to take breaks and do something else. Plus we were watching TV so we could have gotten distracted.
