if you don't usually take sick days, and you're generally trustworthy at work, then i advise u come up with something really crazy,,, like u have diorreha (sp?) because they don't really expect a lie like that, especially if u trustworthy... so they'll believe you without question... and you'll have ur day for you.... u can thank me later

Best Sickness Excuses

Bosses are crafty, they think they are their own little scooby-doo detective agancy...

so dont use any excuse that they might be able to have a case against your claim.

I would go with the stomache virus

here is an example...

*Ring* *Ring*

Boss: "Hello"

You: "Hey Mr Chuck, I hate to call and say this...but I have thrown up 2 times in the past hour, I was still going to try to come to work after throwing up the first time, but while I was getting ready I threw up again"

Boss: "Hmmm...I am not going to be able to replace you tonight so if you can I am going to need you to try to come in"

You: "Well alright I will go ahead and change my clothes the ones I was going to wear had a big stain on them from when I ....I.... I.... Hold on a second sir (make puking noises in the background)...ugh.....ugh... (graon a bit) I am sorry I just did it again, I am afraid I can not come in.

Boss: "ok...."

THE END

Try it

Physicians are commonly asked for work notes and I generally provide them. The best excuse is to say that you have whatever is 'going around'. For example - at present upper respiratory infections and cough are prevalent. The old stomach 'flu' is a good one for if you have vomiting and diarrhea your employer does not want you at work. I tried 24 hour malaria as an excuse in college but no one thought it was funny.

If it's just for a day, I would say that I got food poisoning from something I ate the previous day and that I've been up all night sick to my stomach.

Irratible bowl syndrome....used that couple times and was told I was giving too much info.....just saying I was sick would have been suffice.
Hell if the company didn't have a use 'em or lose 'em policy...I'd crawl into work and carry a barf bag.

I called in and told my boss I had an uncontrollable case of flatulence. He told me to stay home. Go figure.

Really, just tell them you do not feel well. If company's did not want you using sick time then they should pay you for those you don't use.

Whatever is going around, as long as its juss like a 24 hour bug. Or you could say you had an allergic reaction to your neighbor's cat or something. & of course there is "my back hurts" & "i have a migraine." Everyone has those so what can they say ??!!

Good luck & enjoy your "me day!" haha

Just say I'm sick. Making up elaborate stories just makes it less believable. Keep it simple.

The only believable excuse whether you are faking or not is " I'm not feeling well today, so I don't think I should come to work"
