Photosynthesis is important to animals because they receive their energy from its products.

Photosynthesis uses energy from the sun to convert CO2 & H2O into glucose and O2 & H2O. Animals then eat the plants to combine the glucose with the O2 to make energy (ATP), H2O and CO2. Even the animals that don't consume plants eat other animals that do and indirectly receive nutrition from the byproducts of photosynthesis. Also, they all breathe oxygen created by photosynthetic organisms.

Animals cannot create their own food/energy which is essentially what the photosynthesis process is for plants. By eating plants, animals get the food/energy they need to function and survive from the carbohydrates produced by the plants during photosynthesis.

Organisms receive energy from the sun either directly or indirectly. Plants utilize photosynthesis directly by converting sunlight energy into by-products of oxygen and carbohydrates. Non-plant species, for example animals, are indirectly affected by photosynthesis through the consumption of plants, or herbivores, for simple sugars, starches, and other high-energy carbohydrates.

Because lots of animals (including we humans) eat plants, and plants can't exist very long without photosynthesis.

Animals are heterotrophs (meaning they produce their own food). They eat plants however, which are autotrophs (can make their own food) using photosynthesis to make energy from the sun.

Because producers are the bottom of the food chain. Without producers there would be no carnivors, herbivores, or ominvores.

It is important for plants because that is how plants make glucose, which is their food.

Because we eat plants. And because they need oxygen too.
