Once I make a play list I move it over to “burn”. I put in the blank disk and press start burning. It gives me the message, “Please insert a blank disc in CD drive (D:). Once Windows Media Player detects the new disc, it will automatically start burning.” So I either push it back in, or take it out and push it back in. It makes burning sounds. But either nothing happens or it pops out a useless cd.
I downloaded Itunes. Didn’t work. Got a copy of Nero music player. Go to burn a cd.
It tells me “Audio source plugin Error:
Microsoft’s license does not allow tanscoding of WMA files into any other format.”
I switch the out to use and burn with WMA files. Same message.

I was able to dig up some mp3 files, I tried burning them with Nero, it looked like it was going to burn them, it loaded them. Then nothing happened. I can burn other non audio things no problem on this computer.

I don't want to loss all my music files, and i have lost/hurt some of the cds. I want to burn Cds! :(

Your CD burner probably came with software of it's own. It may have come with Nero or Roxio or Sonic. Look for that CD. Go to the Control Panel and remove that software. Reboot the computer and insert the CD that reinstalls that Burner software. This should fix the "burner" drivers and software that will allow you to BURN.

Good luck and Happy Computing!
