I'm using a gas grill. i don't know whether I need to plan 'extra' hours for grilling or if it will be the same time needed as doing just one.

about the same time ........allow for extra basting and use plenty of butter or oil to keep the meat moist....enjoy.... If you cook in the oven the meat in a pan will absorb the butter/oil/canned broth and tend to be moist and tastier and not have that dried out taste

I would think that the most important thing to worry about is whether or not your grill can handle 3 - 7 pound breasts. If the grill can, and it heat evenly, you probably need to add a little more time, but not a lot. Remember, each breast is still individually 7 pounds. Make sure the grill is pre-heated to the temperature that you need and maintains that temperature. If you don't have a built in thermometer be sure to have one handy to check internal temperatures of the meat. Give yourself the extra time if needed as well as setting time so the juices can go back into the meat before carving.

Have a great Thanksgiving....sounds like it will be a yummy one!

I looked online for an answer but couldn't find one, but I'd think that you should only need to cook it as long as you would the thickest breast, as longer times depend on more density.

Your not going to have to add extra hours. Maybe 30 minutes to an hour it won't be like you are cooking each one seperately. Go to the link below. Cooks.com has great answers.
