There is 3.5 cups in the can and the can has 1lb. 13 oz. of pumpkin. I suck at math can any one help me.

In cooking there are two methods for measurement, by weight and by volume. If your recipe calls for 1 lb of pumpkin, then that is by weight and doesn't necessarily translate into volume like 2 cups. If you wanted an approximate amount it would be 2 3/4 cups of pumpkin

8 oz in a cup so you have 13 oz too much in a glass measuring cup remove 8 oz from can, then an additional 3 oz (your glass measure will be marked). The remainder goes in your recipe.

Well, one (16 oz) can will make two loaves of pumpkins bread.

I'm bad at math too so I've learned over the years how to wing it.....Use 1/2 the can plus 1 tablespoon or so more.....The can has almost 2 lbs in it if that helps...

1 cup is 8 ounces so that would be 2 cups.
