I was with my first love for 8 years but then broke up and was pretty devastated but then I met my husband and have been married to him for 16 years. I got the chance to have lunch with my first love the other day and I couldn't wait till the dinner was over. I don't know what I ever really saw in him. It felt so good because he thought I would still have feelings for him but all I talked about was how good my life was with my husband. My husband knew about the lunch date and was very cool about the whole thing, I think it made my love grow for him even more. My husband to me is the ONLY love I've ever had in my life..

My first love turned out to be such a jerk and I have not seen him since 2 or 3 months after we split up. I met the man I married, whom I think was my first REAL TRUE LOVE (at first sight) when we met back in 1992 but I don't think either of us knew that because it took us until 1996 to seriously get together and in 1999 we married and are still crazy for each other!

No I do not still Love my First Love his name was Justin. but I realize now That I'm not in The 8th grade anymore that real love is a cherish and not puppy love like my first love was! although I do still think of him from time to time and wonder what happened to him as he has never gone to any of our reunions! the funny thing is all these years later I am married to a different Justin and I couldn't be happier and more in Love so I believe I was meant to be with a Justin I just had to find the right one

I love my hubby more but I do think about my first love sometimes-it was very real and I really thought I was going to marry him.He is now happily married to someone else and so am I-life goes on and I woul not trade my husband for any guy in the world.

I'm with someone else and I'm much happier. You'll always remember your first love because, well... they were your first. But I think that a lot of people experiment early and realize that your first love is usually, in most cases, not your last. I still talk to my first love, but definitely do not love her. The girl I'm with now is so much better and I'm much happier with. I think first loves is just a way of people to become more involved and experienced in society. But, if you or someone you know is still with or married to their first love, I give you or them my applaud. That's quite amazing. Good luck.

Wow! That's a question that can cause alot of trouble. It is always said that you will always remember your first love and you will always set your standards by that one. personally, I am "engaged" to someone else but I am still head over hills for my first love... Bad I know but you cant help it! Its really hard because you cant move on from the what ifs, but I am working on that one as of now! Wish me luck and I will wish you luck too. I was married for 16 years and with her for total 20 years
she left me for some one she met in drug rehab
I moved on
I think about her all the time
love is there but it is lost love
I hope she is happy and that she is well
thats all i can do

the first love is always special, since it was the first time a sincere feeling toward someone was born.
that doesn't mean that if you have a new love today, it would be more or less than that first love. it just means that now that first love has become a part of your memories, and your new love is the focus of your life.
if that first love is your focus, even if that love is not part of your life anymore, than there is no other love for someone else
my first love has always a special place in my heart, and I always hope she is happy today

My first love was my first husband. I am back now with another "old love" that I met 23 years ago--we got back together two years ago after all that time apart. I still have love feelings for the first husband, whom I haven't seen for 26 years, but I do understand why we broke up and I wouldn't get back with him.

I still love my first love..It is not continous ..I just feel like i am still in love with her when i remember her..I remember her like once in a day or two..Last week I called her and told that..She seemed to be having the same thoughts..But we both have new relationships and do not really want to be together again...but we still love each other..
