It's not you. He never steps up in the big games. He can play great against teams like the Cards and Lions. But where was he against the Bears?

He is not as good as his brother, not as smart and does not work as hard. I think he is overrated. What has he ever done. When was the last time he won the game for his team. When was he the best player on a given day. Eli is sservicable and won't lose the game but he will never be as great as a number 1 pick should be.

It's you. You can't blame Manning for his two bad games recently. He got off to a great start, but Burress has been banged up, Toomer is out for the year, and his left tackle got hurt last week against the Bears, and he had a 38 year old backup to face the Bears' defense. His completion percentage was well over 66% but now is below 60. It's not his fault that his receivers have gone down and his line is banged up and can't protect him. He is a very good quarterback ,genius, tell me what quarterback could be successful when they lose their two top receivers and starting left tackle.

Eli is a decent, thought not great, QB. Maybe if he played in a different system he'd put up better numbers, or if he actually had someone to throw the ball to. I agree his is over-rated, but not grossly so.

I have to start off by saying I hate what Eli did when he got drafted, and being a Patriots fan, I hate his brother too (Brady is the best QB in the NFL today not "choker" Peyton). But despite all of that it is too soon to say that Eli is overrated, he does show flashes of brilliance, but if its 3 years later and he is still widly inconsistent, then you can say overrated

Yes he is overrated..He is not his bro...but he has not won a Superbowl yet either...Giants should have took Rivers in the draft and let the baby Eli play in SD

By his play it could be assumed that yes he is overrated but has his teammates helped his cause any. His brother has better support so it makes him look a lot better. Also Peyton tends to recognize mismatches and defensive schemes better so is better able to use that to the advantage of the players on the field. We won't be able to answer that question until the supporting cast shows up and plays consistently.

I agree. After the SD incident I wanted him to break his leg, but after the Giants-Chargers respective records I could just say, "Who's the dummy now Eli" I don't think I'm ready to forgive him for the SD draft day thing, even if he does become as good as Peyton.

He's not overrated. He's just playing on a team who has suffered a lot of injuries this year. If the team was healthy, the Giants would be the best team in the NFC.

He's more over-hyped than overated. He gets a lot of attention, but he is still developing as a quarterback. It is still to early to tell if he'll be a great quarterback. I think he will be solid, but he's not a guaranteed hall of famer yet.
