I have a work study job and I want to buy some manga and a new videow game. The total would be like $80. It is my money so I should be able to buy it. But I also have charges on a credit card, because I used it to help my mom pay a few bills.
Now should I pay some of the bill off or should I buy these items I want. My mom said that she would pay the bill off, buy a min of 10months and around 4 dollar finance charge, it's going to take a while. But I really want these Items, Naruto Manga, it would just be volumes 1-5 and the New Mortal Kombat game that is out.
So what should I do?

hey kev, can u pay the minimum on the card & still buy just the manga ... if not then pay the bill & ask for the game & the manga for Christmas ... ttyl

heres the problem with not paying off the bill you said it was a credit card bill that means you will be paying interest the longer you wait the more you will pay. sounds like you have good intentions and all helping your mom out that good but in the long run the debt will keep increasing and you might want something down the road more

Learn to live within your means and discern between wants and needs. It's good that you have been helping your mom, and you deserve to have fun sometimes, but those finance charges add up. Best pay it off and get the games later.

you should pay the bill off first so that you dont get behind and you
wont hurt your FICO score!
P.S.Try to set a budget for items you would like to purchase in
the future.
