her lunch is from 11:30 to 12:30 she ran an errand on her lunch break and came back at 12:10 . . . she seems to think cause she had to be back at her desk in 20 min everyone including the two people who were still waiting to use the microwave should have let her heat her food 1st . . yes I was rude when she took out my food to cook hers but shouldn't she wait her turn like everyone or should I have let her go ahead and cook her food even though I had been waiting for my turn since my lunch break started ?

It was her responsibility to pick up something to eat or nuke her food before she left. If you had been in the bathroom and she needed it would she have yanked you out? She was rude and definitely in the wrong.

No. No no no. Microwaves are okay to reheat meals that have already been cooked. I do this each and all of the time. And the radiation waves warmth up the foodstuff by ability of bouncing off the partitions of the microwave and the exterior of the foodstuff. It does not go in the foodstuff.

I'd say the microwave line is just like any other line, where everyone waits their turn. If she needed to cut the line, then she should have asked everyone if they minded. Otherwise, it's up to her to plan her lunch breaks better.

She should have asked first: "I'm sorry to intrude, but I only have a few minutes, would it be all right if I cut in?"
Then it would have been polite for everyone else to let her cut in.

Sounds like your office needs a second microwave to speed things up!

She should have asked first and then you and the other two people could decide if you wanted to let her go ahead. She should accept whatever decision each of you made. If she'd been polite in the first place, you may have been more willing to help her out.

She was rude and can't expect people to cater to her just because she misjudged time. If your food was going to take another twenty minutes and she only needed it for a few minutes she still should have asked and you would still be able to refuse.

You were right in letting her know her behavior was unacceptable.

microwave use at work is "first come, first serve"...
she should have planned her lunch hour better instead of expecting everyone else to work around HER schedule....
she was clearly in the wrong...
however you should have handled it more politely and "like a grown-up"

Sounds like one we had who had a nickname of "Mo" who eventually went on a spending spree with the company credit card, and got away with it.

She was wrong just like your bully girl.

You have the right to microwave first in this situation.

No, you had the microwave first. She should have waited her turn.
