I only suggested that it would be a good idea to learn to spell before looking for serious work. Am I awful, I just told the truth for their own sake. Oh, well, thank goodness I am not so touchy. Actually, maybe someone so touchy couldn't hold a job down these days, as it can be pretty back stabbing.

Some people can't take any kind of constructive criticism. You would think they would at least learn how to use spell check. You're not awful, just honest. You have to be prepared for any kind of answer on here, and at least yours was well meaning!

I feel this way, if someone doesn't think enough to use spell check and make an honest grammatical effort, then they should not post.

Some of these people are so bad, I wonder if it is a joke. There is no excuse for it. I also do not think computer abbreviations should be allowed. They certainly can't be used in the work place or in schools.

If the person that reported you is that "touchy" they won't make it a normal work situation. What will they do when their superior tells them they made a mistake?

I think they are looking more closely at answers that instead of answering the question, just say something that might be taken as offensive. Though some people are pretty touchy. Most likely it would have be the poster who reported you.

Camilla
You need a skin like a rhino to mix it in here. Let it go. kid. Life is too short and you seem a very sweet person from your question. Just keep saying what YOU want to say and dnam the begrudgers! Its nice to see people like you with a mind of their own. Go for it

Don't ever keep your opinions to yourself.

You have a right to be here and the universe is unfolding as it should.

I can see your point. Maybe the other person's main language isn't English though, it is one of the most difficult languages to learn. Just an idea. Don't sweat it, people are sometimes very emotional when they are in a new environment.

Oh yeah i got the same thing...you try to be honest with somebody if they ask a stupid question, the next thing you know someone reports you for abusing the 'system' and your answer gets removed. How will these people learn that they are stupid if they don't get told. And they say we don't live in a nanny-state. And if anybody reports this answer.....well.....

Oh dear, I'm a stickler for grammar and spelling and I point this out consistently. But I've never gotten a violation for it. Maybe someone was just a bit "off" today :-)

The thing is because there have been so many people creating a problem with this subject I think certain people are reporting because they genuinely take offence to it.

It might be wise in these instances to keep your opinion to yourself and nobody is perfect.

It happens.
Have had a fair few myself.
Usually for no good reason.
The standard of spelling on this site is atrocious.
Appalling.
You should get a medal for trying to improve it.
But the task is too big.
