What are you saying here? That you want to respond to harassing letters and that you want to write back? If this is mail, you write across the front of the envelope "return to sender" and you dont open it. The success of the harassment is that you are opening and reading the letter. If you dont do this, the harasssment will stop. If this is a bill collector, they will just keep harassing you in other forms. If this is personal, not reading the letters will usually stop the person from corresponding. If you answer, this is the best encouragement the harasser can have. This person will know that they are scoring and getting to you. Your question is very vague. If this is someone you know there are other ways to deal with this. If it's business, I cant give you a real correct answer. Try and narrow your focus more.

I don't know. A friend of mine filed a police report but they can't really do anything. You have to go to your manager. Don't get me wrong: Filing a police report will help, especially if you're not the only one who's filed one on this person. You need to talk to your supervisor or someone who has power over him. If you must write a letter, detail the most severe incidents. Include approximate dates and times and any witnesses you might have. If all else fails, you need to file a harrassment suit.

Bonnie, don't write a harassment letter. If you are getting them, turn them over to the police. You don't want to play into someone's hands and find your butt in court.

who are you writing to? is this happening in your job? sue the company. hell, sue whoever it is. you need specific examples of the harassment.
