No. With marijuana you can't get the exact levels of THC (what cause the high) ever time. Some times the levels are higher other times they are lower.
That's one now for two people complain about the effects of second hand some. With pot you not only get second hand smoke but also the possibility of a contact high.
Right now it's illegal and people still do it. Imagine if it became legal people would be doing it on the street corners etc. Study have also proven that smoking one joint if like smoking a pack of cigarettes. Imagine what that would mean in terms of second hand smoke?
The government and society are pushing for a smoke free public places. You think they are going to open another can of worms.

Well, they ended prohibition of Alcohol, who knows maybe they would do marijuana too. They'd be foolish not to, think of all the tax money they could get. Everyone knows pot is not as harmful as alcohol anyway, so I don't know what the big deal is.

Here's a good link for balanced information. I don't agree that marijuana is the gateway drug though. Alcohol is. Its easy to get and legal. Have you ever heard of a person that smoked pot that never had alcohol? No.

If it was legalized a lot more people would be growing their own crops and using it, a lot of dealers would lose their illegal businesses & a lot of people would be high too.
With that in mind, highly doubtful that marijuana will be legalized in the future.
However, in 1906, 100 years ago, marijuana was available all over the counter. Pharmascists claimed that marijuana clears the complexion, gives buoyancy to the mind, regulates the stomach and bowels, and is infact, the perfect guardian of health... shocking isn't it?

I dont really like the idea of legalizing it , maybe just decriminalizing it. Legalizing pot would mean that the government would get their grubby fingers into it and then tax it all to hell. Not to mention whatever else they will add to it..I imgaine it becoming like cigarettes. Addictive and expensive.
Make pot legal to have and to smoke but not to sell.
And yea I know a few ppl including myself that would develop a green thumb.

No and in fact they are doing everything they can short of making tobacco illegal. They sure won't make weed legal with it's foul smell. You can't even smoke tobacco in most restaurants or public building, You still can pop a top on a beer and run over people though. Where is the sanity in all this?

.i read an article once that the people on medical marijuana say the stuff they get from the doctor is full of seeds and stems and they end up buying it on the streets any way.that goes to show you what the Government would try to sell you if it was legal.they would sell the people the stuff that was crap and keep the good stuff for themselves.so yes one day they probably will, but will we want it?

why would they legalize it....if they did and they taxed it we would have nomore debt and we would be able to go after all the naughty countries who refuse to give up Nukes....we could go after N.Korea & Iran plus have some $$$$ left over to give healthcare to every US Citizen not just illegal immigrants.
