I've seen them worn with knee-high boots but I don't think they look very good together.

If you're tall definitely you can wear them with nice ballerina flats or flip flops, if you're not tall at all I would go with high heels (either round or pointy toe). It all depends on the look you want to achieve.

The shoes that go best are in the following chart

Pink gauchos- dark brown high heels

Brown gauchos- light brown sandals (maybe with pink things in the sandals)

Black- anything bright

since gauchos add weight to a person, you should wear a heel of some sort. flats make people look stumpy.

it depends on the color, if they are pink or white or something then a cute pair of black flip flops,but if they are brown then do a cute pair of brown ones.
