Impossible to say. You can't predict the future. However, if you put the question in a historical context the majority of the answers to your question will be 'NO' because he was knocking around only 60 years ago so lots of people remember first hand what happened.
The Romans were a pretty bad bunch too, invading countries, making people slaves, killing millions, persecuting the christians etc. If you ask whether the world is a better place because of the Romans the answer would probably be 'YES'.

Yes it would have been much, much worse. Imagine if Tony Blair ordered all books that weren't about the labour party burnt, enforced the teaching of labour party values in schools, got rid of any political opposition and killed anyone who opposed him. Then imagine he rounded up everyone who was from a different ethnic group to him and had them either shot, gassed, starved to death or experimented on. There would be no music, TV or art that he didn't like and a womans place would be in the home making babies.
Anyone who tries to compare the world now with what it would likely have been if Hitler had won the war is either misguided or a fool.
Anyone who would try to suggest that any country in the western world is either a police state or a dictatorship is an idiot.

Hitler controlled every aspect of peoples lives right down to the small stuff, like what music you could listen too and there was no freedom of speech whatsoever. In fact if you said anything bad about him on a forum like this (which wouldn't be allowed in the first place) you would be tracked down and shot. I can say Tony Blair is an idiot who has his head up his a&$e in the knowledge that I am free to do so. If Hitler had won the war and I'd uttered the same sentiment about him in public I would have been put to death.
That is the difference.

Hitler's "National Socialism" was not Socialism. It was Facism under a pseudonym. REAL socialism is about giving people basic rights and making sure that they are able to have a roof over their head and food in their bellies and the right to earn a decent wage. It is about equality and has nothing to do with persecuting other races.

You dont state your age but heres my opinion.National Socialism as presented by Hitler was nothing more than the ranting of a n insignificant little man who pandered to the basic primordial instincts of a vanquished people who still harboured dreams of greatness.The policies he used to try to gain that greatness are amirror of today ,I NAME NONAMES COUNTRIES OR CREEDS.First the genocide of a whole race ,next the control of the wholewealth of the nation by one party,next what he called liebensraum or the expansion of his borders as he saw fit to extend his dominions ,next ethnic purity the systematic destruction of all cultures that dont conform to what he wanted,you can only marry and procreate within your own race,and finally you are only allowed to think as he thought.Is this the society you thinkwould be no worse no better than todays ,you will notice Idid not mention the number of people who died to prevent Hitler ,this is because no one will ever truly know the figuresas nobody had an accurate figure for dead jews gypsies mentally handicapped deformed babies [see todays news about euthanasiafor infants]civilians partisanse tc.m sorry for the rant but i must say no Hitler had to be defeated and we must pay attention to the lessons of history.

Y'know...it would have been worse - but look at what we're like nowadays. The British media finds it moral to scream about Eastern Europeans, a certain group of Asians as well as blacks. We have different 'fascism'- but it's been turned somewhat 'respectable'. No, you're not being offensive - but it's good to think about what could have happened, and what's happening now...and if Uncle Adolf is up in the sky observing, he just might be smiling...okay, we have jews, blacks and the usual social 'bugbears', but could be the actions of so-called mature countries in our odd world of late will have Herr Hitler think he did leave at least half his legacy - and in the countries he wanted to own.

Who knows? It's likely that in some people's eyes it'd be worse, but in others it wouldn't. But if he had won, we wouldn't have the current situation to compare it with so we wouldn't know what could have been. In fact we don't know what Hitler's world would ultimately have been like, so we can't decide if it would have been better or worse.

I think the world would be worse if Hitler won. Look at all the damage he did while he was in power. Just think of how the world would be now if he were around..Remember all of the dead bodies he burned and how he treated and minipulated people into thinking his way was just, when in fact it was in human.
