I'm trying to see how many people really believe sailing isn't a sport. I'm on a varsity A sailing team, and it is way more intence than volleyball and stuff like that. Pisses me off when people say you just sit on a boat and get fat. They have no clue what they're talking about.

The question is: Do you think sailing is a sport, or just an activity?

It's definitely a sport. They have the America's Cup, which is like the Super Bowl of football. You race other competative sailors & work hard at it.

If you're just doing it for the fun of it, then it's an activity. But if you are really into it, like you seem, then it's definetly a sport.

Of -direction it is a game. It's globally identified as a game. Just like every other worldwide game, football (soccer), for example, there are lots of specific phases. Even auto racing. You begin out small and paintings your method up. And I imply to inform ya', racing the ones little Sunfish can get aggressive! Just like every other game, no longer each person can do it. You need to be in appropriate bodily form to fulfill the needs of boating. You need to have knowlege, and plenty of it, to do any well in any respect. It takes technique to position or win. You get trophies in case you win. Yes, it is a game, there may be simply no longer plenty of humans inclined, or equipped to be taught learn how to do it. It is not as handy as a few individuals feel!
