How about an IPOD with some of his favorite songs and also new songs that maybe he hasn't heard yet? Or a t-shirt with your perfume on it (put the t-shirt in a sealed plastic bag so the scent doesn't fade). Pictures are always great. If you have kids, have the kids make him Christmas cards. Also the usual "goodies" bag...his favorite candies, snacks, personal hygiene stuff, etc).
Thank him for us and let him know that he and all the other troops are in our prayers!!!

Hand write him a letter telling him how much you love him, how proud you are of him and how he doesn't need to worry about his family because you got it under control.
Tell him that you can't wait to be with him again and to make sure he takes care of himself because you guys love him very mucha and think of him every day.
I am a former soldier and these are the kind of letters that keep moral and will make the diference between life and death when bullets start flying and crap blows up around you.
hope it helps

Get a video camera and do a bunch of home videos of you, your kids, his friends, the family, all talking to him - just little messages. You can tape yourself and kids at home, and have his friends get in on it too. As for the rest of the family - take the camera along to whatever Thanksgiving get-together your family has and just set it up in another room somewhere so the relatives can just go in, hit record and add on to the holiday message.
Good luck! I did this for my brother when he was in Iraq and he loved it. It was probably the best thing I gave him.

Make him something, hand made gifts come from the heart. You could get a scrapbooking kit and make him a mini photo album filled with pictures of you and your kids, that way he can keep it in a pocket on his uniform so you are always "close" to him. I was in the military and believe me those are the best gifts to get from your loved ones back home.

I was in the military and stationed overseas during Xmas. Pictures or things that remind him of home are always nice. Trying decorating the house early and have friends and family over and take a lot of pics. My wife did that for me and it is was great. Felt like I was there.

nothing like a wife's good old baking, make him some cookies or brownies,or some kind of candy, put it in a tin and send it, believe me he will open that up and see the love and time you put into it for him and he will strut around that base like a rooster with his head held high and his chest puffed out, bragging about how much he is loved and how much time you spent on him....:o) good luck...and be sure to tell your husband when you talk to him that I said thank you for what he is doing for America!!! let him know that we still support him and his fellow men/women

Seriously, a nice hand written letter, and nude pics of you. I am being serious. Keep the pics in a smaller envelope, this way he reads the letter first. I'm sure you two don't want the whole squad seeeing them. Let him know of the personal pics, this way he doesn't open them around everyone.

How about sending him a small photo album of you and your families. He would love that and could look at it whenever he wanted to!
