Just a few some my favorites - some I can take or leave-
Chuck Norris
Elvis Presley
Malcolm Forbes
Rocky Marciano
Bill Cosby
Alan Alda
Tony Bennett
Johnny Carson
Clint Eastwood
Jocelyn Elders (1st Black & 1st woman Surgeon General)
Fred Smith (CEO - Fed-Ex)
Dave Thomas (founder of Wendys)
Montel Williams
George Westinghouse
Charles Walgreen
George Steinbrenner
Arthur Ashe
Dezi Arnaz
Clark Gable
Marvin Gay
Jim Carey served in Canadian army.
Well you can see I left out all politicans, which included almost all past presidents except - Roosevelt, Hoover, Wilson Taft, John Adams, John Quincy Adams, Grover Cleveland who paid $150 to not serve - it was allowed during Civil War, & Clinton. George W, Bush did serve active duty but could have stayed in Reserves & 1st LT & fighter pilot - some will not like it but it is the way offical history is written - not politics. Some of these guys were Reservist in past wars too.

Here is a great website for actors that served in WW2. I don't think JIm Carey served in the US military (isn't he from Canada).
Also some famous athletes served, most notably Ted Williams in both ww2 and Korea.

Probably the most famous would be Elvis. Sure that other people have served and then gone on to become famous but it's too early in the morning to name them at present.

Little known fact. Ted Kennedy served in the US Army for three years during the Korean War. A lot of Movie stars during WW II. Pat Tilman, was a US Army Ranger in Afgahnistan. By the way, I thought it wa an example that a lot of other neo-cons should follow that are for the war in Iraq, but will not follow.
