Coincidences:

A team managed by Gerry Francis beat Manchester United 4-1 on New Years day of two successive leap years (QPR in 1992, Spurs in 1996).

Two seasons running, Watford won a home game 1-0 with Alan Smart scoring in the 57th minute (Bristol City in 1998, and Chelsea in 1999)

In 1994/95 season, three different teams broke the club record for most consecutive clean sheets (Tottenham, Everton, Watford)

1999 FA Cup semis were quite intriguing:

Man Utd (looking to do a treble) against Arsenal (looking to do the double). Spurs (looking to do a cup double, managed by George Graham who had achieved the feat with Arsenal six years earlier). If Newcastle and Arsenal had contested the final, it would have been a 'repeat final' of the season before.

Several coincidences between England winning 1966 Football World Cup and 2003 Rugby World Cup:

Losers (Germany and Australia) scored first and scored late equalisers.
Winners scored in last minute of extra time.
George and Ben Cohen (uncle and nephew) playing in each side.

Wow. That's interesting.

Trivia: Patrick Kluivert and Ruud van Nistelrooy are born on the exact same date (forgot which). To think they didn't exactly see eye to eye in the Holland squad...
