I am looking into getting a new cell phone and I would really like a Sidekick II or III. On eBay there are a few unlocked Sidekicks. My plan is with Cingular, but if I bought an unlocked phone, could I still use it with my Cingular SIM card?

yes and no. the phone will never work the way you want it to. you will not be able to send or recieve picture messages properly or browse the web. it is better to just get a cingular 8125

before you venture out to buy a sidekick, call or talk to your cingular representative to see what frequency you are on. If you are on the 850mHz then it will not work. I use cingular in my area but the sidekick won't function here unless you are with t-mobile.

initially your answer is not any yet once you examine with particular third occasion cellular shops they'd "flash" your gadget to modify between those companies, according to risk even cingular or tmobile shops could do it yet its uncertain i did no longer know it became genuine till i observed a RAZR that had a tmobile emblem on the batt conceal however the domicile show screen reported cingular. as some distance with the aid of fact the inet plan question, i do no longer hav understanding, as a result no answer

yeah it will work when you put a cingular sim card in.

the only thing is if its the manual unlock where you go to the NETWORK SETTINGS its crap because its unlocked but you can only receive calls and not dial calls.

but if its UNLOCKED using a data cable or a code then its fine its UNLOCKED completely
