The BMI is not usually accurate for people with a lot of muscle. According to it, most professional basketball players would be obese.
I don't know where you get a better chart.

BMI is not the most accurate scale in the world, as you already know. To account for body composition and muscle mass, talk to your physician. There are more accurate ways of checking whether you're overweight or underweight than BMI. I wouldn't be worried if you're truly not overweight. BMI shouldn't cause you to fret. Just don't go out and binge because you think you're at the correct weight.

BMI is a horrible system.
It was created so people could just look at a chart quickly and spew out a good or bad answer. Weight is also not a good indicator.
Body fat percentage is best.
Men about 8-15%
women about 12-25%
even this depends on other factors, nothing is applicable to all people all of the time.

bmi is not accurate for all people. it is a good idea of if you are a healthy weight for most people. all bmi calculators are the same because they just use a formula with your height and weight so ask your doctor if you are healthy although some doctors only look at what a scale says so they are much help either. you should know if you are the right weight for your body type.

You can find the BMI chart at http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/
Heavily muscled individuals may find their results skewed with BMI. In the following link, they go through the results from least reliable (height/weight charts) to the most reliable (underwater weighing). Before you are forced to find a health center that can handle underwater weighing, you can probably find a health club that can use calipers to do a skinfold test. More information can be found at http://www.sport-fitness-advisor.com/calculatebodyfat.html

18-25=average
below 18=underweight
above 25=overweight
That's the only BMI there is; it can't be changed. You are overweight if you are above 25; however, that does not mean you are unhealthy or in bad shape.

Being 'big boned' is only going to add 5 to 10 pounds. If you are very muscular, it can skew the results but, you probably are overweight. Most people don't believe it at first for some reason or another.
