my daughter loves to do answers but i have to preview everything so she don't read anything she shouldn't. she gets irritated when it takes me forever to find a question thats appropriate for her to read and answer. she wishes she could read and answer herself but for obvious reasons i have to do it. she loves answering the pet and education questions but even some of those are lued. does anyone know of a site thats for kids?? i would really appreciate it. thanks.

to CreoleGirl,
thanks for your answer. you brought up a very scary but real subject.
i'm not saying that a kids site should be unsupervised. i just think it would be good for kids to be able to ask and answer questions too.
if there were a site for kids i think it should be strictly supervised and any inappropriate subject matter deleted automatically.
i would still watch what my daughter is doing but at least she could scroll herself instead of me having to search for her. she wants to do it on her own but i'm afraid of what she'd see.

that is a very smart thought i dont have small children but some of the questions are really rough even for me i sure hate that children and teenagers have to see some of this stuff you are a very responsible parent for watching out for and trying to protect what your child reads keep up the good work have a good day

No but I think you are doing a great job at monitoring what your daughter is doing on the Internet. There should be more parents like you.

The most you can do is report any lude questions to try and stop them.
Or why can't they have ages posted right under the avatar?

Keep up the good parenting!

I think it would be a good idea for them to have their own site as sometimes you cannot tell if you are answering a child's question or an adult. You have to answer each one differently and on a different level for them to understand.

aol, but you might have to be a paying customer i don't know, cause i'm already one. They have kids aol, called kol on their site, and it also has a for teens section with gossip and their own chat rooms for teens only. Aol just opened up some of their content for free, so it might be available.

I think so. Some of the stuff is even inappropriate for me, but I did just turn 13, and that way, no mean people would rate down my questions. ^_^

that would be an excellent idea for the kiddos so they dont answer the adult questions.
go to yahooligians that's for kids and from what I've heard about it is safe for the youngsters.

I agree; some of these questions are just stupid and/or purverted. Email the Yahoo! people to consider making one on Yahooligans.
