This is very normal. The braces are actually moving your teeth. This creates tooth pain especially in the beginning. I had to drink a lot of shakes and soup for while until my teeth got used to the movement. I hope this helps.

Yes that is what happens. And everytime you go back to the orthodontist he will tighten them and after a few hours they will hurt again. You just have to learn to deal with it. After a week or so your teeth will get used to the new position they are being pushed in and it wont hurt / wont be tender feeling until they tighten them again.
It will only hurt the most right now since you just got them on. Eat soup until you can have solids again. When the pain goes away resume eating solid foods. Dont chew gum (unless it is gum that says "no stick" like you will notice on some packs such as bubble yum i think). Dont eat taffy or other super sticky foods. DONT eat corn on the cob, you will regret it later when you have to floss every bit out of your mouth. Also dont eat popped corn until braces come out (in a year or 2). You will regret eating those foods if you do, trust me i had braces before.
People who have parents that care and have money get braces for their kids. My fiance didnt have braces because his teeth never were that bad but my 2 older brothers and i both had braces at one time. I wore mine for about 2 years and 1 brother wore his for 3 years.

Usually the extreme pain from each monthly tightening will only last a couple of days, and then settle down somewhat. If you are still in pain in another three days, I'ld go see your regular dentist for an x-ray. To have just one tooth hurt for so long, could be something else. Usually with braces, the whole mouth will hurt.

Yes, I had the same feeling when my braces was newly installed. The night I had it,I feel as if I wanted to get rid of it.
During my first few hours, I started eating soup and bread which are easy to eat. However, I wasnt able to sleep well since I was very hungry. I started to eat rice even though it was hard.
I immediately followed up with my dentist just to be sure everything is ok.

Yes it is normal. For a while all you can eat is soft food. It hurts. I am sorry. You might also have headaches. Just work you way up slowly with food. If it hurts real bad don't force it. It will be worth it in the end. Good Luck.

Yes. You'll soon feel better and will quickly adjust to your braces. Try some yogurt and ice cream. It won't be long and you'll be eating almost normally. Good luck.

ya your teeth can hurt pretty bad sometime. but mostly in the beginning and when they get tightened. but don't worry the pain will go away. take some Tylenol and eat only soft foods that don't need much chewing.

Yeah unfortunately it's normal, remember that these things are moving your teeth and that that your teeth are one of the most sensative parts of your body. But it will get better, promise
