Tell me your story. How long have you been on bioidentical hormones? How did you go about getting tested and getting the right prescription? Did you get it at your local pharmacy or had to find a compound pharmacy?

Unless you are having extreme menopause symptoms, it is recommended that no hormone replacement is given. However, localized treatment, i.e. creams, are recommended more in cases of let say, vaginal shrinkage.
To get compounded vaginal creams, you'll have to go to a pharmacy which specializes in compounding. The local pharmacy will probably only have the relatively expensive prepackaged creams.

WHOA! Leslie, I have to disagree!
I don't know what Suzanne Somers is saying, but Bioidentical Hormone Replacement is VERY much effective!! It sounds like maybe you have confused natural progesterone with synthetic progestins? The synthetic hormones are what shuts down your body's responses to your own hormones.
(As for your troubles, email me - I'd like to ask some questions.) Progesterone does NOT make hair fall out...it's the androgens that do this.

Mime, check out a book called "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause" by Dr. John Lee. He also has a website at www.johnleemd.com. Dr. Lee pioneered the research of NATURAL progesterone cream and estrogen dominance.

I personally know hundreds of women who have found menopausal relief, and got their lives back, ONLY from bioidentical progesterone supplementation.
