You know how the DVR boots up. That is all it is doing. Maybe there is no connection; because the wind is blowing around. any ideas? Thanks for the input.

It has been down for an hour, or an hour, and half. That's why I think it is just down from a cable.

If it was a connection issue, you would see a blue screen with a no connection error message. If you don't get a blue screen at all, then it's your DVR unit. You'll need to call your cable or satellite company.
