I recently got NTL digital TV and it was working great but now the guide wont come up when you press the guide button and you have to change channel to bring it up again. Interactive and other buttons dont work either. Picture is fine and everything but its annoying. Anyone had this problem?

I don't think its the batteries cos the other functions (volume, channel etc) are fine and the little red transmitter on the remote always flashes when you press any button

I would suggest you un-plug your box from the power supply for at least two hours, then re connect and things should be fine.
At least twice a week, un-plug your NTL box from the mains power supply for two to twelve hours.
Remove and re-insert your card, just takes a few seconds.
If none of the above work, contact them;
www.ntl.com/home
or by phone, 0845 454 0000.
Explain your problem in as much detail as possible.
Contrary to some of your other replies to your question, I have found them most helpful in the past.
Hope this helps solve your problem.

Seriously, cut your losses and get Sky. Its the only Digital TV service worth having.

don't try to get them to fix it they're less than useless.They buggered me about with my internet connection until I actually cancelled my contract to get rid of the problem. They did say that they wouldn't charge me for the time I couldn't use my internet connection - only to find out they'd been charging me even though I couldn't use the connection at all.
