But as they say: monkey see, monkey do.

People who use the site (mainly teenagers) pay little or no attention to the fact that the site is ilegal. They just want the free music. But they didn't notice that suspicious source code in that song they just downloaded, so they open it up, their computer freezes for a minute, and shuts down. Welcome to Yougotf***edville.

The artists still aren't being paid for the music since it is file sharing. Sharing = one CD bought while multiple people download it for their own use. If you don't pay for it it's not legal.

If the music is copyrighted then it would be illegal to download yes.

99.9% of the mp3 files on the sight would be illegal to download from limewire

no it is no illegal to download anything off limewire unless the thing you are downoading is copyright protected!
