In the case of my home keyboard, can't answer that, as NONE of my letters are wearing out, and I have been using this one awhile. As for my WORK computer, some of the keyboards have letters so gone, that they only way I can use them is to place both my index fingers on the raised bump on the F and J to be sure I can type anything at all!!! I think we are just here TOO much!!!

Click START, then select all programs, then select Accessories. Look for Character Map among the listed programs. When you open Character Map, select the characters you want then choose copy. Paste onto your email/word document. Good luck!

do you mean like this "ñ Ñ" ? Just hold the Alt key then type 164 for ñ and 165 for Ñ. Hope that helps.
p.s.
you can also do ½ ¼ . Alt and 171 or 172.

In windows, most are done by:
ctrl-accent then the letter (for á, é, or ì)
ctrl-shift-accent if it's the tilda (for ñ, ã)
There are also alt-### codes if you know them.

If you are in Word, (or you could go into it and copy and paste once you have typed the word), go to "insert" and then select "symbol" and find what you are looking for there...
