Tax deductions vary depending on what state you live in. But before taxes, if you make $8.50, your monthly gross will be between $1,360 and $1,700. Some months are longer than others.

Get a calculator and then 8.50 multiply by 40hrs and then multiply by 4 weeks and then factor in (deduct ) tax rates then you will get the net salary.

without knowing your specifics... $8.50 *40h/week= $340/week

ASSuming 4 weeks per month... $340 *4 = $1360/month before taxes.

if you figure a 12% tax... that would be $163.20 for taxes... so your Net Income per month would be $1196.80

well - there are too many factors that you did not give your question. Taxes vary from state to state - I would need to know what state you are living in to figure that out - because state income tax rates are not constant. I would also need to know what is your tax filing status - post that information I know I could or someone else could help you. If you go to the http://www.irs.gov/ you can get the information there you need.

That depends on your overall experience and experience in the particular airlines too. Also depends on which airlines you want to join and what routes they fly etc. The aviation market today is pretty rough and bumpy, so many airlines keep wages low due to high aircraft maintenance costs. The people in demand in airline companies are the aircraft maintenance engineers and pilots, without whom the company would go kaput! :)
