I just looked at your picture, that is a jack Russel mix. Most likely with the famed mutt Rat Terrier. . Those dogs get around. Love them. However, I will leave my first answere an here for anyone that does not have pics up. First look at his markings, striped or spotted, if he has any striping he is probably a terrier. However if he is spotted and has wire like fur..then he could be a terrier as well. Oh, and what kind of snout? Long or flat? You can usually narrow it down by spepperd, terrier, spaniel, lab, or hound. Mastiffs or your "old world" blood lines are very distinguishable at birth with a pug look and large bones. Good luck!

your puppy is sooooooooooooooo cute and i think kiwi is a good name for him are you sure its a mix ?? i cant tell hes definently a jack russell terrier ( a long legged smooth coated one) it might be a rat terrier because the coloring looks pretty similar but your dogs head is more rounded like a jrt) it could just be a jrt with that kind of coloring its belly has spots like my jrt and it looks like the personality is the same as my jrt it looks about the right size too it could be 1/4 of chihuahua based on the coloring but itdoesn't really look like 1

I would say he is a jack russel. It looks as though he may be crossed with a beagle because of his tail and some markings. I would ask your vet or perhaps go to google images and type in certain types of dogs and see which one (s) look most like Kiwi. All you need to know is you love him and he's not a purebred!

You have asked the same question 3 times at least! Why don't you read the answers to your questions? I think it is a jack/rat terrier mix.

Terrier mix

Looks sorta like the smooth fox terrier or the toy fox terrier (though size doesn't fit toy) they have on the AKC website

Fox terrier

OR

Jack Russell and something taller (legs are pretty long for a JR)

Go look at the breeds here to see if you can find the other part if 1/2 is JR (By the way JRs are not AKC - orginated in ENgland to hunt and kill rats)

I once had a JackRussel/Rat Terrier mix and he looked almost exactly like your pup. mine did have a longer tail although i am not sure the exact length but i too noticed the longer legs and the tail and remember my pup being the same way. i wish you luck tho...very cute puppy you have.

He is a terrier but its almost impossible to know without seeing his parents. But then again what difference does it make? If you are asked you tell them he's a terrier, or a mutt. As long as you love him and he loves you breed makes no difference. Good Luck KG
P.S. I know the breed is called................. Cutie Pie
