Too many problems for this kind of online chat.

You need more than even a 30 paragph post can contain.

Get out the phonebook and find an obedience class - you need control and she need manners.

Start here:

Contact the organizations closest to you - they will have an ida who is in your area.

when you're eating at the table don't feed her anything! if you do she'll never stop! when she barks just spray her nose with water and say no. dont hit her or else she'll be scared or become vicous. the whole barking thing is part of a dachshunds nature tho. they're a barking breed. try looking up some obedience classes and have lots and lots of patience

Take her to an Obedience Class at Petsmart or somewhere like it. She'll learn the basic commands from you & will begin to understand that it helps her to have some control. She'll learn to listen to you and follow your instructions.

The possesiveness is that she's showing that she's the alpha dog in your family, she's in charge. You need to be more assertive and show her that you're the alpha person in the family, you're in charge.

the first thing you need to do is start walking her on a leash everyday. make sure the leash is short so she doesnt walk in front of you but beside you. if she fights the leash just keep walking and ignore her and she will eventually give in. this will help establish dominance as long as shes not walking in front. alot of behavioral problems come from boredom because she is probably stuck in the house or backyard everyday for hours straight and not getting enough exercise.when she misbehaves say very loud stop or no. teach her to sit as this will help. you should probably enroll her in a trainng program, do it now while she is still young. your vet can recommend one, petsmart also has one. look up alpha rolling, which is when you flip them over and hold them on their back while gently grasping their throat, you dont hurt them just hold them there until she relaxes, this is how dogs show eachother who is boss in the wild. just be careful weinie dogs are prone to back problems, so be somewhat gentle when flipping her over, just dont give in when she fights, which she will because she thinks she is the boss, just be consistent. dont ever give any treats from your food or she will think its ok. training and daily exercise (at least 30 mins) will do wonders i promise you, plus walking everyday is good for you too,

Watch "the Dog Whisperer" to learn how to deal with your challenging pup. A good way to start is by crate training and using 'calm, assertive discipline'. Good luck-

Use positive reinforcement, praise and treats, patience. Swat that nose when it dont listen, and swat it again if it dont beleive you. Be consistant. You CAN teach an Old Dog New tricks.
