Usually, when animals of any sort are inbred it allows the worst of their genes to be dominant. So: not a good idea.

It can be. When animals this closely related are bred it increases the chances that certain genes, including those for defects and diseases, will pair up and show up in the resulting offspring. Sometimes this is done to "fix" certain traits. inbreeding like this has occurred in all purebreds at some point and in some cases is still done today. Linebreeding, however, is more commonly used. Linebreeding, as opposed to inbreeding, involves breeding a son or daughter back to a parent.
If you are not a serious, experienced breeder who does extensive health certifications on your dogs and studies genetics, I would not recommend this.

They may, it is not 100% sure. What happens when anything inbreeds (breeding close relatives) is any genetic flaw has the potential of being doubled. While both dogs may appear perfectly healthy you have no idea of the genetic make-up and what issues there may be.
I have a Chihuahua that is the result of a father/daughter breeding (no, I'm not the breeder, I was given the puppy). He has lower then normal inteligence and skin problems as a result of being in bred.

Not necessarily an outer deformity that shows when you look at them ; but the genes, chromosomes break down and they would be more likely to catch disease and to have eye problems or joint problems or whatever is known to the breed will begin to appear in "inbreeding." I breed and raise purebred pug dogs and I would never allow the bloodline to become close like that. You are asking for problems.

This is called inbreed and some or maybe all the puppies will either be deformed or messed up in the head or have other health problems. This is not recommended to do.

They can have many problems. Some breeders that KNOW what they are doing and have done the research and take responsibility for it..do breed father and daughter. A brother and sister mating is NOT DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is the closest you can get and should NEVER BE DONE.
Many people have the mistaken thought that dog KNOW that it is their sister or brother and WILL NOT mate. That is totally false. WHen the female comes in season...they WILL MATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When any higher order mammals have incest, there is a greater chance of both a bad combination and a great combination.
This is one reason it is discouraged.

not necessarily, it's likely they would be o.k. it should be discouraged, if it were to happen again in the next generation the odds of problems would go up.
