give it some time and try out a few names. personally, i think things like cocoa, princess, honey, baby and spot are b o r i n g and overly used. maybe you can come up with a unique name, even something phonetic that really has no meaning. and if you like it and your dog likes it, don't worry what other people think. a few years ago, i got a new puppy and came up with a unique and cool name. one of my friends said that it wasn't even a real word and was stupid. so i changed it slightly and now sooooooo many other dogs have the exact same name. i wish i had stuck with my first choice.

Taubey (pronounced Toby) , the letters rearrange to make beauty and Toby is a great dog name.
I was going to name my daughter Taubey but everyone I know insisted not to cause its a dogs name...maybe I should get a dog.

Wait a couple days and figure out her personality... that way you can be original in the name. (My cats are Digit, she's got thumbs, and Duster... used to eat dustbunnies). Or just name her after your favorite characters in movies or books. :) Enjoy her!
