Okay this is gonna sound nuts but I know Little Ricky was not a real prominent character in the episodes but I can remember watching the season where they move to the house in the country and he got in trouble for something for like the first time ever and asked his dad if he was going to get a spanking and I can remember how bad it shocked me because of the era the show was released in. Anyone else remember this or am I nuts?

The episode to which you are referring to was supposed to have taken place in the actual town of Westport, Connecticut (I live in Westport and it's a big deal here).
It was supposed to be that Ricky and Lucy bought a house in the country (believe me it's certainly not country here in Westport). I believe that Lucy was buying chicks for their farm and Little Ricky hid them all over the house so Lucy couldn't sell the chicks.
Fred & Ethel used to take the train out to Westport from New York (which is actually, without any stops, a 45 minute ride) to visit Ricky, Lucy & Little Ricky. Eventually I believe that Fred & Ethel moved out to Westport, Connecticut as well.

No, you remember correctly. This was towards the end of the series when they got the house in the country. It might even have been the last season it was on the air. I remember Fred and Ethel taking the train to the country to visit them. It really got kind of weird by then.
