90's tv show, the story was in the 50's or so, of a woman, lived in africa, descoverd a diamond mine, name????

it was about that reach woman, i guess she was caled Samantha, any way she had a son, and an african old lady was her friend, she finds out she's pregnant, marry's a reach guy, she discovers a diamond mine,the poor guy takes his baby away from her, then years goes by, she now have a son with her and he's richy rich, and the other works with his dad as a fisherman for her company, and then the uuals, the boys met, fought, became friends, there was some kinda war essus, as i recall, that in the end they will set a reunion after they cross the borders, and the 4 lives happly ever after, i just keep remebrin it and can't recall the name, i just gotta know the name, or i'll go mad here :D

yea i do think that it was a mini series, not more than 7 episodes, or even less

Is it an actual show or a mini series? Because it sounds like one of sidney Sheldon's books ( Bloodline is the name of the book I think - sorry I can't really remember), and they make alot of his books into mini series.
