Jack Bauer on 24. He has had to overcome a lot in his life. For heaven's sake he has faced down the President of the U.S.A. on the show. That took a lot of guts. Also, now he is facing possible torture and imprisonment by the Chinese.

there's been alot of really great characters mentioned here and i agree with all of them as being great.. but in my opinion.. ugh .. that's hard to narrow down - there's gilligan, alice from the brady bunch, the bartender on the love boat, the 3 stooges, ... and that's just in the 70's!

I love the character of Dr. Bailey on Grey's Anatomy. I love that fact that she's got the nick-name of the Nazi. I just love that character.
