Where do you want me to start? Ken Stott of Rebus/Messiah, face like a squashed pillow, but I so would! Peter Firth of Spooks, its the long coat that would make me pounce like some sumatrian jungle cat.....the actor who played Colin in the same programme...balding, glasses but you know he'd give you a damn fine sorting out as it were...why should we be Hollywood driven anyway? what's wrong with finding Alan et all sexy? At least they are portrayed as real people, not some airbrushed, manipulated freak that is then churned out for mass comsumption, bring on the Alan's and the Alistair's of this world and long may they continue to stir our tanks!

emma, how could anyone NOT like Alan Rickman? :) I'll throw one out there that no one else has tried yet--Darren McGavin, the original Night Stalker, yes with the $2 hat and powder blue suit and yellow Mustang convertible...it was his perseverance and wit that always got me (plus the fact that he was always right despite his outlandish theories!) This could have something to do with the later "crush" on David Duchovny as Fox Mulder, however, I do seem to latch on to characters, rather than to particular actors in most cases. The two characters were pretty much synonymous in many ways! (Actually the guy who played Krycek was hotter IMO, but Mulder was more admirable). My first crush was Mr. Spock, though; I'm sure that one is not unusual, but it was emblematic of a trend in my tastes!

Going back to my childhood, has to be Robin Hood, the Disney animated version. I don't know why but the cartoon twinkle in his eye gets me everytime!
