the chicken pox is something that usually has to just go away on its own. i have always heard its alot worse in adults than in kids, so, you may have it for awhile. best thing to do is keep calomine lotion or cortizone cream on it to stop teh itching, and do not scratch them. they will cause sores. Just give it time and it will pass!

sometimes a decongestant is needed as there can be sinus congestion with the pox. Tylenol for fever and aches. Lots of fluids and TLC. Chicken Pox is often alot harder when gotton at an advanced age. The itching is the worst symptom. Once the spots all scab over its not supposed to be contagious anymore. Don't pick off the scabs or you will scar. You may look pale and beat up for a couple of weeks but you will start to feel better. Lots of rest will help you feel better. I had them at 17 my cute little 4 yr old nephew gave them to me. He had 14 spots I had 1,400 and was so sick. I had to miss so much school, when I finally got well my boyfriend gave me mono so I was out several weeks my junior year of High school.....

Don't do anything else especially touch them. They need to dry out. Can you get out in the sun a little? Maybe that would help dry them out, or go into the ocean (providing the temp is 70 or higher!)

They'll go before you know it. Be patient! I once had a bad case of the measles at 21...I think I was more embarrased than anything else!

B-12 will bolster your immune system, take 1000mg daily, get lots and lots of rest and drink at least 2 liters water a day.
