Well, rather than having something because of a holiday why not do it simply for the sake of doing it? Since school just started, now would be a good time to do something like that (if you don't already do an "Open House" thingy) You could also have get-2-gethers using the seasons as themes or using something you've spent extra time teaching them about; i.e., if you spent the week talking about the letters A, B and C, have a party with just things that began with those letters. If you want to encourage sharing don't have a "Secret Santa" thing around Xmas; have a "Friendship Day" sometime. It would be nice to get the kids to encourage each other with kind words or "Friendship Necklaces" or something like that. You could also just ask the parents themselves. She is their child and they'd know what kind of things they'd want their child to be doing at school.

Templates are easy to make and cost nothing.Just get a stiff piece of cardboard and draw on it or stick a picture on it and cut it out you then have your template. Its good to make your own and it encourages the children to be creative.

ask the school their go to and see if there have a catlogue chances are there do and there have great templates for xmas and stuff (i work in a nursery)
its mostly gd stuff and its cheaper!!!
