number 1 with most sequels....The "king" so to speak would have to be the Godzilla movies, with 26 films and counting (not including the American remake). Other long running film series also include the Bond films (21 and counting or 23 if you want to count unoffcial entries NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN and CASINO ROYALE). Then there is the CARRY ON series, not really sequels, but films made between 1958 and 1978 in Britain. There were a total of 29, which, depending on how you measure it, beats even Godzilla.
