I am not rich and i need to get to Europe, if i order a round trip it is cheaper, etting a no-stop one-way ticket. With all of this homeland security going on. I wonder would it be a problem if i never show-up for the return flight. There are so many well-informed people on here, please help me, and thank you!

I'd book the round trip with the return leg in about a week. After a couple of days, call the airline and tell them you have had a change of plan and at this point not sure when you will be returning.

There should not be a problem. They may charge you a little extra for the change if and when you do return however.

I've done this within the US already.

No, it's not a problem. In fact, to make them happy you should probably get a round trip, because other countries want to know you have a way to get back out of them.
Be smart and get a ticket you can change for a small fee, in case you do want to come back.

To check for pricing

IF round trip is cheaper you can book the round trip and then while you are in Europe you can cancel the trip back and as a general they give you 12 months to to rebook the flight for a small fee depending on the carrier and type of ticket you have.
