I believe when Angleina Jolie adopted her kids it was a good deed and she truly loves them. However, Madonna's adoption was just a publicity stunt. It makes me so sad to think she's adopting a kid that was in the orphanage only because his father couldn't take care of him. Why doesn't she just give the kids father some money so he can keep his kid?

I don't think it matters if its a fashion craze or not - thats just the newspapers anyway. What does matter is that a child is going to have a secure and happy life with loving parents and hopefully that will be the case. Also apparently Madonna has given 2 million for a new school - so that can't be bad.

Its sounds as if you have already made up your mind. But I think it is a good idea as they are the ones that can give African children the best chance as they have the money. American and British children may need adopting, but the African need it more. I hope it does become a craze so more children will be adopted and won't die from Starvation, disease etc. :)

Fashion craze. Why don't they just "foster" a few children, this scheme involves you paying for the child's keep, but the child stays in their country. You correspond with each other by letters, photo's etc and you can visit anytime you like. More children would benefit from this and they stay with the families and grow up in their own culture.

I think it's great, and a lot of kids who would otherwise have nothing, are given the opportunity to have a great life. I do think a lot of celebrities contribute to clinics...whether they do it out of the goodness of their heart or for a tax write-off, it's up in the air, but the money is going to a good cause regardless :-)

As long as they are adopting kids that need homes and love what difference does it make where they are from. Even if it is a publicity stunt at least a good deed is coming out of it.

From what i've got heard there are waiting lists for little American babies...extraordinarily white babies. it somewhat is far less confusing to undertake older young toddlers yet human beings tend to wish babies. despite if, there's a great want for oldsters to soak up those orphans from Africa. So I beleive this is as a results of fact human beings do no longer decide to be caught on a waiting checklist while they could undertake a form of captivating babies from Africa.

Adoption is great.People have to understand that the chances of getting adopted in a third world country are next to nothing. That's why alot of celebs are not adopting in the U.S.They are trying to make a difference in what is known as the most poverty stricken continent in the world.

i think it's awful, they are taking children away from their culture and heritage.
it absolutely sickens me when i see celebrities like sir bob geldoff go to poor villages dressed in expensive shirts, sunglasses and watches that could feed the village for five years.
Instead of asking money from us all during comic relief and children in need, why do they not dip into their own deep pockets and donate 10% of they income after all they have so much it's not like they are going to miss it.
Leave the children in their own country and help the people to keep the children safe and fed.
it seems a purely selfish and self promoting act.
