You are right about the Blue Ridge Parkway.....It is beautiful in the fall! It's beautiful all of the time, but exceptionally beautiful in the fall.
We're stationed in Italy now, and we have found that just driving into the mountains this time of year offers a lot of pretty fall scenery. All the leafs changing colors. It's very nice. But to me, I love it whenever we're back in Tennessee visiting my in-laws, and my husband takes me for a drive up in the Smoky Mountains, especially Gatlinburg, and the leaves are changing color....It's one of my favorite places in the world.
Oh...I'm feeling homesick now!!! I can't wait to visit the States again.

I've been to the Blue Ridge Parkway in the summer and would love to experience fall there! In my own experience, fall has been the best season, no matter where I've been. I don't really take any special trips in the fall, but I used to go on work parties with Girl Scouts when I was a kid, and those usually were in October and November :)

I live in the mountains of Pennsylvania and I think we have the best fall foliage. I just have to look out of my window for a beautiful view. We are truly blessed. ( On the ABC morning news today, a lady was saying that Vermont has the best.)

Vermont, but the leaves' colors have changed already and fallen. The leaves in NJ are still green though and you can either catch a Nets game or try the NJ cheese featured on Anthony Bourdain's show.
