I take regular sliced bread. I mix garlic powder with butter. Spread the butter mixture on the bread. I then put a handful mozzarella cheese on top of it. I bake it at 400 for 10 minutes or so until cheese starts to turn brown. My family loves it and it is easy to do.

Its not really that hard. Get yourself a loaf of Italian bread from the store.

Leave your butter out to soften. Use a garlic press and use it to cut the garlic up into the butter. I like the garlic press because it draws some of the natural oils from the garlic out, which doesnt work well if you're chopping by hand, plus the pieces get pretty fine (which can also be a hassle when chopping by hand). Stir the butter and garlic mixture.

Apply the butter-garlic mixture to the loaf of bread.

Then add your cheese. Shreded cheese in the package at the store is fine, or if you want you can always shred your own off bricks of cheese. Some people like mozzerella or others like cheese blends. Use whatever cheese you like.

Then bake it in the oven...about 450...but stay in the kitchen and keep an eye on it...take it out when it looks to be your taste.

Note, you can also cook the garlic bread first, if you want a crispier top crust, and then add your cheese afterwards...turn the oven down though, you just want to melt the cheese.

Mix together 1/2 butter and 1/2 parmesan cheese (make sure you use real butter and the parmesan that comes in the can). Add a minced garlic clove. Slice a loaf a sourdough in slices. Spread the butter mixture on top of each slice. Put under the broiler for a couple of minutes until the bread is nice golden brown. It's the best!!
