Hi... I do not have any vegetable oil in the house. I have a pre-made cookie mix that calls for 1 egg, 1/4 cup vegetable oil & 2 tbsp water. Do I have to put in vegetable oil, can I omit it or is there something I can put in instead (I don't have any oil in the house- veggie- peanut, virgin, etc...)

Use butter, I recommend 4 tablespoons.

You can use any type of pureed fruit. Usually applesauce is used, but a mashed banana or pears work too. Use 1/2 cup instead of a cup (I was told to always double the puree fruit)

Also you can use melted butter.

Good luck.

Use a 1/4 cup applesauce instead. You can also do this with brownie and cakes mixes.

You could possibly use some melted oleo or butter. Not sure if you'll get the same result, though. Another option may be to use a combo of milk and margine. Again, not sure of the result but they should taste the same. Just not the same texture. Good Luck!

do not use vegetable oil (it's a trans fat). Instead I use 100% pure raw organic coconut oil (check out www.mercola.com) or use organic or raw butter. Apple sauce is good too

if you have applesauce, that will work. I think an egg white will work as well,
